The California Family Health Council thanks all of the talented young people who submitted their artwork. So many amazing designs were submitted! (You can still see all the entries here.) Once again we thank you for your contribution to the contest and look forward to receiving your art-work for the next contest.
The top 50 entries were selected for online voting. Six winning designs will be selected. Each winner will be awarded a $500 prize at a press conference in Los Angeles where the artwork will be unveiled. Thousands of condom packets are distributed throughout the year to family planning clinics, STD clinics, male involvement programs, high schools, colleges, juvenile detention facilities and other community-based health agencies. Condoms and condom instructions are included in each condom packet, available in both English and Spanish. The inside of the condom packets are printed with STD facts.
There will be six prizes of $500 each for the best designs. All of the six winning designs will be printed in full color on thousands of condom packages that will be available at no cost to Title X Delegate Agencies. This contest is open to any person under the age of 25 living in California .
The 2008 Condom Cover Art Contest was underwritten in part by Lifestyles Condoms.
CFHC has created Condom Art products from the artwork of a previous artist, Jay Li. Proceeds of the sales of these products will go to support future Condom Art programs. Please consider getting behind the Condom Art project by purchasing the Be Safe Boxers and Hat or the HPV Scarf for your holiday gift giving.
