California Family Health Council, Inc.

CFHC was recently awarded a core support operating grant from the Blue Shield of California Foundation (BSCF) under their 2008 Community Clinic Initiative. This is the third year CFHC has received support from BSCF. CFHC will utilize the funds to support and expand existing programs and services and to leverage other grant funding.

In addition, CFHC’s annual Women’s Health Update (WHU) was held October 15th -17th in Burlingame, CA. The annual conference provided healthcare professionals with up-to-date information on reproductive health, including family planning, HIV and STDs, and breast, cervical and ovarian health. Without the generous support of Bayer Healthcare Pharmaceuticals and Merck & Co., Inc., this conference would not have been possible.
