The organization’s members include educators, social workers, health care providers, parents, policy makers, and others committed to promoting the sexual health of adolescents. The award is given in memory of one of the original founders of CACSAP and recognizes members for their contributions to the organization.
Pam began working with pregnant and parenting teens in 1978 as a volunteer for San Jose Unified School District’s Young Mother’s Program and became a member of CACSAP the same year. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to promoting healthy adolescent sexuality and creating an environment where teens can thrive.
Pam continues to support teens in her current work as Program Manager at CFHC, coordinating The California Wellness Foundation’s Annual Conference on Teen Pregnancy Prevention. Pam served on the CACSAP Board of Directors for 4 years and remains involved in the CACSAP’s work. Recently, she was instrumental in obtaining a generous grant for the group, enabling them to acquire much needed personnel.
