California Election – CFHC Positions
The election of November 4, 2008 is over. Thank you for your support and involvement in this historic election.
For a third time, California voters rejected barriers to access to safe-legal abortions for young women. The most recent tally of Proposition 4 is 52.4% NO and 47.6% YES. CFHC will certainly continue to encourage parent/child communication about sexual and reproductive health, and will continue to advocate for open access to needed clinical and counseling services.
As we celebrate the outcome of Proposition 4, that celebration is tempered by the passage of Proposition 8. Equality and inclusiveness are core values of CFHC and we support all loving families.
So until the elections of 2010, we thank you for your hard work during this electoral season.

Family Planning is Important.
Every year, hundreds of thousands of Californians benefit from family planning and reproductive health services in some way. And while they may never know it, many of the services they receive are made possible by the California Family Health Council, Inc., better known as CFHC.
